1. Who sells
The seller is Xabier Tobias Zaballos (tax ID 45665268-X), with address at 48970 Basauri, Bizkaia (Spain), under the trade name Aventopía. You can write to us at hola@aventopia.com. We sell to private individuals through https://aventopia.com.
2. The product
We sell personalised children’s books. Each book is a hardcover book, 21 × 21 cm and 24 pages, in which the main character is illustrated from the child’s photos and carries their name. It can be ordered in 8 languages: Spanish, Basque, Catalan, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
As optional extras you can add a dedication (up to 380 characters) and the digital PDF version.
The illustrations are created with artificial intelligence tools and reviewed by our team. We aim for your little one to recognise themselves, but each illustration is an artistic interpretation: it is not a photograph.
3. How to buy
- You choose the book.
- You give the name, age, whether it is a boy or a girl, the language and, if you like, the dedication.
- You upload 8 to 15 photos of the main character.
- You fill in your contact and delivery details and pay.
When you finish you will receive a confirmation email. The contract is concluded at that moment and is filed together with your order; you can see it in My account.
You are responsible for the details and photos being correct: the book is created with what you send us, so check the name (including accents) and the dedication carefully before paying.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on each book and include VAT. Each book currently costs from €40; the dedication, €1.50, and the digital version, €1.99. Shipping costs €3.99 per order and is shown before you pay.
You can pay by card, Bizum, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We may change prices at any time, but this will never affect an order that has already been confirmed.
5. Production and delivery
Every book is created and printed individually. The book arrives within 8 to 10 working days of the order being confirmed. We ship to Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Andorra, Belgium, Portugal, Austria and Switzerland.
The digital PDF version, if you ordered it, will be available in My account, under My books, once the order is complete.
If delivery is delayed for reasons beyond our control (carrier, public holidays, printing incidents), we will let you know. If the delay is significant, you may ask us to cancel the order and refund what you paid.
6. Cover preview
If you ask us, we will show you the cover before the final layout. It will be in My account, under My books, within about 24 to 48 hours. Asking for it does not change production or delivery times.
7. Changes and cancellations
You can change or cancel your order as long as we have not started the final personalisation or printing. Write to us as soon as possible at hola@aventopia.com with your order number. If it is cancelled in time, we refund what you paid.
8. Right of withdrawal
Each book is made to measure, with your little one’s name and photos. For this reason, under article 103(c) of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users, the right of withdrawal does not apply (returning without a reason within 14 days) to personalised products.
This does not affect your guarantee in any way: if the book arrives damaged or has a mistake of ours, we will fix it (section 9).
9. Guarantee and problems with your order
We are liable for any lack of conformity of the book with what you bought, during the legal guarantee period: 3 years for the printed book and 2 years for the digital version from delivery.
If the book arrives damaged or has a defect or mistake attributable to us (printing, binding or content), write to us with a photo of the problem and your order number. We ask you to let us know as soon as you notice it, ideally within 7 days of receiving it, so we can sort it out sooner; telling us later does not mean you lose the guarantee.
The solution will be a free reprint of the book or, if that is not possible, a refund. More details in the returns policy.
Mistakes that come from the details or photos you sent us (a misspelt name, unclear photos) are not defects, nor are the normal differences between how colours look on screen and on paper.
10. The photos you send us
By uploading the photos you declare that you are the child’s father, mother or legal guardian, or that you have their authorisation, and that the use of those photos does not infringe anyone’s rights.
You give us a limited, free permission to use the photos only to create, produce and deliver your book, including their processing with artificial intelligence tools. We will never use your little one’s photos or illustrations for advertising without your separate, express consent. How we look after them and when we delete them is explained in the privacy policy.
11. Intellectual property
The stories, the book designs and the illustrations belong to Aventopía. Your book is for personal and family use: you can read it, give it as a gift and share photos of it, but not reproduce or sell it.
12. Data protection
We handle your data and your little one’s only to manage the order, as explained in the privacy policy.
13. Applicable law and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you have any problem, write to us first at hola@aventopia.com: we want to solve it. You can also contact the consumer services of your region and, if you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence.
We may update these terms; changes do not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
